Dude, that ending is killer. I love the ganster films of the early era ('20s-'50s). Cagney was the best because he was just so believable. This is definitely one of my favorite of his movies.

Just on TCM this morning. Almost made myself late to work watching it -- THE best movie ending ever for any gangster movie -- between Gladys George, James Cagney and a cop. THE BEST.

He was so cute! I loved Cagney so much when I was a kid. (I STILL do!) He's the best. I KNEW these kinda guys when I was a kid....well.....more like his "Public Enemy" character actually. But I have a lot of sweet memories with these old films. ........and those guys.....NO (!!) I didnt mean that in a dirty way! hehehe! ..Love ya "M.C." and thanx to'erik' for the video! x
