yeah I suppose. No wait Tony is better with a band, and just a better drummer it's just you can't compare them as musicians, but drummers, yes. Watever the fuck that even means o.0

HA HA... Yea..Beauford is probably a better drummer with a band and Tony is obviously a monster on the solos. Is that better??:D

well even though I'm fully retarted, He is better than Chambers and Beauford, it's just not fully right to compare them. You get what I'm saying, right?

You've actually got it backwards. He actually has the discipline to know when to stop playing fast and go back into his sweet beats. As far as finess goes Tony is technically brilliant so I don't even know what you mean by that. What your describing would be your typical metal drummer who has some speed but not much else. If Tony isn't a master he's so close it's a moot point.

Neil Peart is a very good rock drummer who does everything Rush's music asks of him. He is at least one major notch down from guys like Tony, Caliuta,Gadd, Chambers etc. I'm a huge Rush fan and even I realize Neil's limitations. If you don't think Tony learned some theory from Dennis Chambers then you need to look into this guy some more. As to only playing fast you need to look at old Buddy Rich videos. He constantly showed off his amazing speed because he could. If you got it, flaunt it.

no one can duel him in a drum challenge and win... hes the man. his bag of tricks is never ending and if it does he adapts and overcomes. god damn tony... i want your skills! haha

Took you up on it and Sivamini is a very interesting and talented guy. I think he would make a much better percussionist than drummer. He almost is one playing to that music which I presume to be Indian. As far as straight up drumming goes Tony is simply at a completely different level with his dynamics, speed, power, and style. |
