Misura's oscilato is very annoying, and Gilmore's graves sound as those of a little girl. Rather bad combination of voices.

I'm not sure what to make of this performance. Exciting it certainly is not. Swe50 if you want to hear how this duet could be sung, turn to the 1663 studio recording with Leontyne Price as Aida and Rita Gorr as Amneris. You will be able to tell the difference.

Tell me someone more experienced: Is this considered great singing? Ms Misura sounds to my ears like a Volkswagen beetle that will not start.

Their voice don't really match...one is super dark the other super light

The mezzo has a wide vibrato.

Gilmore has amazing timbre and good stage presence, hard to enjoy this with Misura not at her best.
