I don't know the whole story but last I heard Monolith Soft(the company which the team formed when they left square) was originally with Namco but Namco decided to sell Monolith Soft to Nintendo. (for more info check Wiki)as for what they are doing now all I know is that the Composer is working on SSBB

best game ever, no game can stand up against this one, even FFVII. This is how a game story should be!!!Squeare did bad losing (or actually kicking out) all the xenogears team, but Namco did play wise taking them to themself.
