speaking of heavenly in a minor key, makes me think of BWV 543 prelude and the fugue. What a great and terrible burden Bach had. I can't imagine.

Though Bach learned a great deal from Buxtehude, Bach, in his prime, surpassed Buxtehude no sweat.

It doesn't sound like sacrilege at all; I'm quite sure Bach himself would have no objection to this, in principal. Indeed, it sounds like it could kick ass -that is, if skillfully done...

Fabulous! Thanks for putting this up. In high school I had this movement memorized up to a certain point about 2/3 through, and I could never ever get past that point! I can't actually play keyboard without looking at my hands the whole time, so that's why I memorized it. |
