my guess is that he takes a drum beat and justs distorts the fuck out of it. :D
Soggycorndogs (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Ya I just mean its the complete postal service duo.
holzy4565 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
technically it isn't the postal service. i mean this song was on dntel's life is full of possibilities, but this song definitely inspired the two to create the postal service later on
holzy4565 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
would anybody know how dntel supposedly creates his beats(especially for this song)? i feel like some of it could be real drums, and the other is electronic, but does he use a program or just a drum machine or what?

Why make the comment? Because thebigshakuna's video description is misleading. You cannot assume everyone watching this video is a "true fan". Some people may be new fans and would have no previous knowledge of all of Jimmy Tamborello and Ben Gibbard's separate and collaborative projects.
Soggycorndogs (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
This is the postal service lol. Its both guys, but playing under Tamborello's original project name.
Soggycorndogs (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Then why even make that comment at all? Any true fans of the two guys know fully well all their different works. I'm sure thebigshakuna realized that as well.Btw, this was the first ever thing the two guys did together... its how they met. After this song was when they decided to make something of it

Read your description, FYI Ben Gibbard is the lead vocalist for The Postal Service as well as Death Cab. However, you are correct in saying he has guest vocals on this track from Dntel. |
