I always had problems with that low E...it sucks being a borderline High Bass/Low Baritone... Bass 1 parts are nearly too high for me (I can hit the notes of course but not with complete ease) and bass 2 parts usually involve an E or E flat which I can't hit very well...

I have not yet had a chance to sing this, but have you checked out the video of Verginia Honors Chorus or whatever they're called? They're really Good! I don't mean to dis them by not knowing the name of that group, but listen to them!

Yeah man. The composer wrote the music the way they did for a reason.I mean putting a back-beat on a song is aiight but a bit meh imo. So if thats what you mean, then whatever. But otherwise, you're probebly removing part of the musical poetry thats put in.This song in particular is epic enough that it should never be tampered with in any way.Z. Randell Stroope is a fucking genious. My choir performs at least one song by him every year.

lol probablythe only choirs that "Add their own style and flavor" are the ones that couldnt get it right the way it was written

No. We don't suck. We're just not stiff and boring. Hello we don't want people to fall asleep.

haha you guys prolly suck then. theres a reason why choral music is written the way it is.this isnt bad.

We sing this in my choir..but a little different. We add our own style and flavor to every song we sing.
