Let the dissenters go and be led by the Nigerian bishop Akinola :-)Conditions in their church will, in time, come to resemble conditions in Africa.Maybe they can incorporate witchcraft, shrunken heads, and female genital mutilation into their services.

Actually that's not in the Bible at all.Then again, there's nothing in the Bible that says homosexuality is a sin, either. Not being loving towards others, spreading hate and bigotry and fear, those are DEFINATELY called sin throughout scripture. Homophobia is NOT Christian. People like Akinola using scripture to hate is a greater sin than any sex act could be.

Here is the TEST to determine a GOOD person from a BAD one: The bad one expects sacrifices only from others, while finding no fault with his own selfishness and desperation to make decisions for others.The problem with gay marriage is that there is no problem. Whenever there is no problem, the Christian Taliban swoops in to fix things.There are no reasons to be unfair, mean and hateful, only excuses. Never be ashamed to love, be ashamed to hate. Be very ashamed!

preachers like that are idiots and should not be deemed to preach...what ever happened about preaching to worship god....in the bible...if he is familiar with it says love the sinner but hate the sin

Akinola is about the worst of a bad bunch, except maybe for Fred Phelps. I also could not understand a word he was saying, because of the combination of his shouting, and his thick accent. They shouldn't allow bigots like Akinola to preach in America. He's also very low-church. I much prefer to attend a high church, which places emphasis on the sacraments, rather than mere preaching.

i don't think anyone should be oppressed. I believe homosexuality is not what God intended, but when i sin i'm just as bad as a homosexual. There is no dividing line. We all are stuck in sin until we allow Jesus to take the blame for us. To many people who are anti-gay get caught up in their selfrighteousness when they are just as bad. I think that is where akinola's fault is.
