Obviously a number of people have absolutely no experience with computers in remote locations. It does not require electricity. This has been a huge stumbling block. Believe it or not, electricity is not available in many areas of the world. Kids in these countries have bigger problems than their eyes going bad. How sad that Joetke and marquisdebarrabas don't get out much.

Great answer hireality! I do like your pseudo . Surprising MarquisdeBarrabas when you pointed out the fact no european shouldn't ignore: All this marketing about OLPC is geared to flooding poor countries with soon-obsolete gadgets! My wife bought one and I wonder if kids won't stress their eyes on this tiny screen and I bet you'll be likely to see sooner or later those laptops on mountains of old PCs or something alike, as it's already the case in Ghana and Nigeria. They could be recycled..

I can answer your first question.1. Reading books and being taught in a classroom or at home.

After watching this video, I'm left wondering two things:First, how did people ever manage to learn anything without computers? Second, how many Bulgarian, Romanian, Polish or Portuguese children own their own laptop? |
