Part 1/12 Stars of Kirov 3 Black Swan Lake Makhalina Baranov

In 1997, the Stars of the Kirov Ballet toured the USA. This is the third program on video. The third program is in 12 parts and this is the first part featuring Yulia Makhalina as the evil Odile from the third act Black Swan pas de deux and Victor Baranov as Prince Siegfried. The 1997 tour was a tour where the small group of Kirov dancers were greatly overworked. They performed in many cities, doing a lot of traveling and performed almost every day, sometimes with two performances in a day. Therefore, as you will see from some of the parts, a pas de deux was performed with only the adagio, or with only the adagio and coda. Fortunately, the Kirov dancers tried not to deprive the audiences while not endangering their own bodies from exhaustion, so there were enough pas de deuxs performed where all the solos and coda were performed.
