Yeah, it's a shame about how John treated Julian, it is a big black mark in his life-but that doesn't make his opinion about other things invalid. Nobody's 100% consistent. Had John lived, perhaps he and Julian would have reconciled. I doubt John and Paul would have had a dust-up over John's remarks. Sure John had negative things to say about The Beatles-they were at that time in the middle of a messy business divorce. With time and perspective, John moderated his attitude about The Beatles.
