After the crippled jumbo jet began to head toward its final crash site, Kyu Sakamoto hastily wrote a sayonara note to his wife. He was a very unselfish man who blessed others with his smile, attitude and beautiful songs. Thank you so much for posting this tribute.

This song (Sukiyaki) was my parents favorite. We lived in Japan in 1960 -63. My mother died in 1980 and my father has been trying to find this song. I was only 5-6 when I heard this song but remembered it like yesterday when I heard it. Beautiful memorial.

You did a wonderful job on this video. Kyu-chan had a great talent. In my mind, he is/was as big a talent as Sinatra. Thanks for sharing this with us.
