Omg. You need to get a bigger tank.

ok u hav nice fishes.,..but it is overcrowded... i know u love them so i suggest do get a large fish tank. it seems to me like looking at a real life insaniquarium game where fishes are overcrowded.. it does look nice when they seem crowded but pity them. so hope to see ur new bigger aquarium ^^

he is sick, swimbladder problem, feed him with hikari food or kijaro the best goldfish food available, and give him cooked peas. the problem is the food you are giving him.by the way ur aquarium is overpopulated, remember its 45 liters per gold.good luck with your Oranda!!!

fancy goldfish are more likely to get it than common. to prevent it, fast them once a week and feed them roughage frequently (veggies like cucumber, lettuce, and peas. microwave them to soften them up). to treat swim bladder, feed them peas and and dont feed them for a few days. there's a lot of info online about it too!

he is not supposed to float

Agreed... it amazes me how ignorant people are about keeping fish. There is no way such a small tank can support that many large goldfish without you getting problems.Your Oranda obviously has a swimbladder problem probably caused, or at least not helped, by bad water conditions due to overcrowding. You should stick to the 1" of fish per gallon of water, especially with big, deep-bodied, messy fish like fancy goldfish.Sad...

my fish has a slight swim bladder problem which causes her to sometimes float. If you try feeding your fishy a peas it helps. Warm up a frozen pea in the microwave for 20 seconds, and take off the skin and feed it. Its known to help. good luck! |
