I also thought the solo was a little lame

If that's what you think, then okay. Maybe I came across as a little pretentious, but I didn't intend to.

You have to admit, you came off as a way bigger douchebucket in your original comment.

Saying his solo was interesting is also an opinionated statement; just opinionated on the contrary to mine, you hypocrite. Use a dictionary to identify the key words if you don't understand them, and you're also a hypocrite in the sense that "You're just using big words and saying nothing" can be explained up with the word circumlocution. Finally; the reason I pluralised 'head' was to speak of both of the A sections in the song; - you can go to the head more than once.

There are many forms of music that don't evolve, don't kid yourself. However, that only says that the form stays consistent. Elements of various non-changing genres are the basis in many other forms of music. For instance, without Blues there wouldn't be Jazz, as much of the basis of jazz is a mixture of blues and classical harmony.

saying his solo wasn't interesting is an opinionated statement. and what is "musical tension building through breaking from diatonic constraints in the heads" You're just using big words and saying nothing. I play jazz and i know what i'm talking about. its called a "head" by the way not "the heads"

Care to tell me why? Or just make hollow claims?
wmpay (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
you obviously have no idea what you're talking about |
