This is a great song! I get a little sick inside when I see Bushroot go on a rant about the historic correctness. I have news: ITS A SONG! Words have to rhyme, and the content needs to be cool.Great job, Geoff!

Furthermore, it was Belgium that forgot WW1. The original Maginot Line plans were to encompass all around Belgium as well, until Belgium declared neutrality in 1936. The French, low on monetary funds, left the Ardennes undefended because the area was deemed impossible to penetrate by armor (which most German officers thought as well). Finally, an important Frenchman DID question the Maginot Line - his name was Charles de Gaulle. Ever heard of him?

And they didn't forget Belgium. In fact, one of the most defended areas in the Maginot Line was the border with Belgium through which the Germans invaded in the Schlieffen Plan. German Army Group B went north through the Netherlands and Belgium to make the French and British command think they were striking through the same path as WW1.

Okay playing (not great singing), but very historically incorrect. The French couldn't point the turrets west. Yes, German Army Group A went through the Ardennes, but Army Group C (19 divisions) attacked the Maginot Line (diversion). |
