But we know the scriptures have been changed for one, plus you still can't prove that the bible is true let alone God wrote it.

wow Really? I was under the impression that Josh was the man? Can you justify your faith with the "better" apologetics you mentioned? Is there any superior apologists you could mention? Maybe this stuff sounds shallow simply because it is not because McDowell isnt saying it right..

I grew out of Josh Macdowell books in my teens. I think this video is appalling - so trite, so shallow. Josh would get mowed down if he had to answer the questions of serious biblical scholars. As a committed evangelical I cannot take his apologetics seriously. It is geared at people who don't think deeply.

The God I serve is powerful enough to perserve His word, thats why he chose the Jews to write the scriptures, he new they'd perserve the words & Never alter them, in fear of the Lord.

Every bible I ever saw says something like "printed" or "published" by (whatever) and company. Since "whatever" and company cannot be infallible, neither can the bible. Perhaps you could show me the one god wrote himself. You can't because there isn't one.

he's obviously lying about his whole student time. Shame on him...

I've never argued that the truth changes.

Searching a biblical hebrew lexicon I found both duwr (for ball) and chuwg (for circle). Perhaps the meaning has shifted.
HenryKorol (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I have never heard of the word "duwr". Maybe you mean "Cadur"? They could at least get the word right.milon morfix co il / ?q=%D7%97%D7%95%D7%92Here you have all possible meanings of word Chug in Hebrew. It means circle only with circle of people. While sphere is one of it's regular meanings. Today we use "cadur" but I can't remember seeing this word in old testament. Thus I am left clueless as to why one would expect the author to use the word not used at the time.

Quoting:"The Hebrew word used in scripture for "circle" in Isaiah 40:22 is chuwg. If the author meant to imply that "circle of the earth" indicated that the earth was a sphere, it would have made more sense to use the Hebrew word for "ball," which is duwr. The word "chuwg" more likely refers to a flat, circular earth."I believe the word duwr is used pretty close to the target verse to imply sphere.
