Thinner, battery friendly, bright, transparent, 180 viewing angle and blacker blacks. All better, costs will come down. I can't wait. SED will be black as black can be though.

problen on the monitor's lifetime??? ok, lcd had problem with the burned pixels. now you rarely see this problem, very rarely.

The real difference, above all else, is the "black levels" of OLED. LDC is better than your old TV because of high definition and space saving design. It's worse on contrast levels, i.e. black levels (this is very, very important). LCD's are not as black because they use a white backlight behind the display, which manufacturers work their butts off to hide. OLED is skinny like an LCD, but has black levels that are "way" better than even your old TV. Basically it's the perfect TV technology.

sony sells an 11 inch version of thiscost $2499but there are many reports they burn out in as little as 2 months, the more tv you watch, the quicker it dies.save your money until it lasts as long as it will take you to save up for a new one
