Flea is excellent in what hes been playing,which is much more simpler that what kai is been playing.Of course Kai,is even more technical,but it s better if we dont judge by solos,but by what they play in songs.anw that s just my opinion:O

What's that on his thumb? It's a blue band of... plastic? Maybe a cut-down thumbpick? Sure would come in handy, I get bloody if I try the Wooten upstrokes.

Awesome! I came looking for what I was lookin for and I found more... The middle of this bass solo is the beginning to a song called Babaluwaiye on the album Fiafiaga (Celebration)by Steve Smith and Vital Information.... For years I wanted to see who was playing that bass line.. Now all I have to do is track down that old Stanley Clarke instructional video with the smooth slappin and my bass quest is over..... or has it just begun? TY youtube people
