Nice hand-made, fretless banjo. Home schooling works for some, doesn't work for others. What irks me, as a public teacher, is incompetent parents who home school their children. When they realize they've been in over their head, they enroll them on the public system. Guess who gets to "fix" the problem -- us! Teaching writing is usually their Waterloo.

Lucky me and my chums back in the fifties; and I'd add that John Seeger was the best History teacher I ever had. That was back in fifth grade in 1959. And what did you learn in school today, my dear fell-Amurkins? Seeger is too eager? Alas!
