Homework
A lazy kid, addicted to Red Vines, avoids doing his homework and experiences a delusion possibly induced by an overdose of red vines.I've never been happy about anything in this video other than the dream sequence, which was fun to make. If I had known more about lighting, I could have made it look better or at least more realistic (I don't really sleep with the lights on). And the dialog is pretty terrible even though there hardly is any (the same thing could be said about my acting). My parents had to help me get a few shots (the panning shots that I'm in), but all the others I set up myself, which was tricky since I couldn't watch myself through the camera. Some shots took multiple takes because I found out that I needed to reposition the camera. For a couple of the inside shots, I was able to drag a TV over and use it to monitor the camera and frame the shots easier. I didn't actually eat all those red vines, but I did eat quite a few. This was created for a project for a video class while I was going to a junior college. When I started the project, it was a completely different story. I think I shot the entire thing, but realized that the shots I had inside the Cinema 6 movie theater (I got permission to shoot in a theater between movies) were way too dark to see what was going on. Again - lighting wasn't much of a though back then. So, that left me with a very short time (2 days I think) to come up with, shot, and edit a completely different short video. I think I still have all the footage from the first attempt on hi8, but I don't have a hi8 camera, so it may never see the light of YouTube.Filmed in 2002.The use of The Chantay's "Pipeline" in this video is in accordance with YouTube's agreement with Universal Music Group - http://www.youtube.com/press_r...
