Carris e a chama crioula
A empresa de transporte coletivo Carris, de Porto Alegre (RS), recebeu a centelha da chama crioula, em cerimônia realizada no dia 14 de setembro de 2007. Conduzindo a centelha, cerca de 40 cavalarianos adentraram no pátio da empresa de ônibus. O fogo simbólico da Semana Farroupilha foi aceso em uma pira construída pelos mecânicos da companhia especialmente para a ocasião.
