Out to the NH&I for a bit of practice, however it rained hard. Note: It is very hard to hold an umbrella and work your camera at the same time!

Most of the ballast you saw there was recently added to stableize their poor tracks. Tracks are being replaced currently.

You did a great job. Railfanning and inclimate weather are not always a good combination. The only thing worse I can think of instead of rain is bitter cold temperatures. It is nearly impossible for me to hold my camera still when I'm shivering. On a side note I like how much ballast the NH&I uses...they pour it right on don't they!
