cat). The way music sounded just had something about it. I was reading on 1 of the posts of another song from the 80's "people used to have fun and dont know how to anymore". I feel thats pretty much true. I tend to find people just judge&put other people down all the time now to make themselves feel better about themselves. Heart&soul seems to have been sadly depleted. I definately say "bring back the 80's!" music today has no heart imo.

more. Also what about rick james in the early - mid 80s? i really like him too. Of course music takes its course from generations before and it transcends, but in the 80's it had a unique quality and production to it, and 1 of my personal favourite producing outfits in the 80s are the terry lewis and jam sound that was done with sos band, human league on the 86 album, and alexander o neal (he did janet jackson but i personally dont really go that side of the music - with the exception of black

i concur with the conversation here between twilliger123&inbetweentics. The videos and music of the 80's holds alot of volume, fun, some humorous&cheesy outlooks, but on the whole, great catchy songs, with good tune&soulful music. I am very old school nowadays, I am really into the oldschool rock/metal scene too, bands like fm, dare, survivor, saxon, judas priest, accept, then i love music like alexander o neal, sos band, princess, aha, talk talk, belinda carlisle, boy meets girl, expose,&many

nice to meet you twilliger - it's refreshing to hear the same sentiments.if i had the money, i would develop my own music video channel and it would include music from all over the world and very definitely have nostalgia time and not wear out the same ol videos and songs that vh1 classic does. ;) ^5bring back those funky interviews too where you had great vjs and unrehearsed interviews with the artists and the likes of colorful dr. ruth!

Exactly, you notice non-singing skanks like Rhianna and Britney using samples from 80's music and making them into horrible remakes or new songs that just plain suck! There should be a law against it. Don't you miss the days when MTV and VH1 actually played music videos instead of these stupid reality shows??? Yep, the new generation of music and children that are supposed to take over are SCARY!
