I understand that the moog was the first synthesizer..but other than that I really don't see any need for a synth like this anymore. I know I'm going to get a shit load of nasty comments disagreeing with me but I'm going to go ahead and state my opinion. The moog is perhaps the UGLIEST and most over priced synth ever. It probably sounded good at the time but I can't help but think the moog sounds child like.

It was a horrible realization for most of us. I never heard it pronounced "mogue" until probably 1999. It makes for all sorts of awkward situations, especially when I'm in England. Someone says "moog" first, and then you have to decide whether you're going to say it the way they said it to be polite, or if you're going to say it right... ugh. |
