Can't overstate Grossman's importance to the fingerstyle guitar culture. This guy preserved that Mississippi John/Gary Davis tradition, and passed it on.

Without getting too gushy, I have to say Stephan is a bit of a hero of mine (although perhaps he is not the best singer in the World - No offence Stephen) The reason I think so much of him is because his double DVD entitled "Beginning Fingerstyle Guitar (or something similar) kick started my passion for playing fingerstyle guitar. Playing is such an important part of my life now... I would love to shake his hand.

You can get the tab book for this video for free. Google Mississippi John Hurt videos and look through the first page for the link.

You under rate yourself as a singer, Stefan. You're a fine blues singer. I certainly see what you mean about playing with "balls." Your right hand is fabulous. I got alot out of this video. Thank you.

I've started long time ago with your great LP of the country Blues guitar with the Son House songs and the great singer Jo Ann Kelly what a wonderful time ! I can see that your passion is still intact it's just great to hear you still ! |
