Love the irony in this song. This 'important' guy used to ride up and the town on his horse, then he croaked. Now, many years later there is a guy from the council who polishes his statue who couldn't give a toss or knows who he is. Absolutly sums up this life. Brilliant, thanks for posting!

The BIg influence on Neil was the key change in George Harrison's "I Want To Tell You" - you can hear it throughout Neil's songs, (I know this from the big man himself - saw him in a gig in a private school in Rutland)
