Always loved this song.....got a few requests for some long-overlooked melodic rock tracks if anybody would be so good as to post them on this site: "Hello Girl" by 707, "Desiree", "No Harm Done" "Midnight Fantasy" and "Behind Enemy Lines" by SPYS, "American Dream" and "Fly Through The Night" by Balance, "Superstitious Feeling" by Harlequin, "Mystery" by LeRoux and "Just One Way" by Kerry Livgren (Kansas) with Jeff Pollard of LeRoux? Thanks!

Kevin's from the same small town in Illinois as I am and I used to go listen to the band he was in before he headed out to Cali... they were The Jones Band before changing their name to Fortran. He's been back in this area for quite awhile now and owns Clique Records. It's nice to know he not only still sings, but is working with local talent thru his studio. Kevin's also just an all around nice guy to know.

There's a feeling from inside your soul,There's a message in the rock'n'roll,And it's calling, calling, calling to you.Every man has got to compromise,There comes a time to stand and fight,And it's all been, all been, long overdue.I can understand, but I'll only bend so far,Then you can believe I'm coming on ---Like a MegaForce.Calling out to you.Calling out to you.Calling out to me.

Here are the correct lyrics (trust me, I wrote them)There's something moving in the air tonight,Something moving at the speed of light,And it's calling, calling, calling to you.I've got a feeling rushing through my veins,We may never get this chance again,And it's calling, calling, calling to you.If the time should come to defend what we believe,Then you can believe I'm coming on ---Like a MegaForce.

I can see you're a real music man. That's great! Yeah, I like most of those guys as well. Actually, some folks think Steve Perry did a lot falsetto, but not true. He did it in a very small portion of some songs, but since he is such a high tenor, it gives you that illusion. Btw, if you like singers with strong head voices, you should like the guy called Geoff Tate, the vocalist of Queensryche. I think he probably has the strongest head voice with a great range.

A big JLT fan to be sure, Love the Odyssey album and his Hurry up and wait / Holy Man cd's and more. You also like my top 10 of singers as well lol! Bobby is probably my #3 guy. Love all the high singers who have strong head voices. Was just singing "Haunted Heart" by Alias earlier today in the car. I found John Sykes blue murder "Jellyroll" song a few weeks ago and grooved on that for awhile. So much GREAT music in this whole genre of singers. My top 10 has to include Bolton/Manilow/Gibb too. |
