Very cool. I think I remember seeing something similar to this in the Sears catalogs in the 1970's. Maybe Whirlpool made them as well (??) because Sears automatic washers were made by them. Never saw one in action though. Love old washers! Thanks for the video!

Yeah - we had one..!! was great - while u were out side pegging the washing out, it would start spinning on its own and knock the pipe off the sink and pump the water out all over the floor..! they were good machines in their day though.

Only the De Luxe versions did, but it does save a lot of hassle, you can just leave the machine to get on with it while you get on with other stuff!

Thank you. I have been debating whether or not to buy one since my tiny portable one is dying. I am also disabled and squating to pull clothes out of a front loader has me falling over more often than not. I will be getting one. Thanks again. |
