Save the car makers after their broke LOl passenger rights after several events point out a need....Obama took 3 days to come up with a response to Russia invading Georgia.... safe ground. Doesnt anyone stand for anything anymore. Football fans support their teams only when their winning when they lose they turn. What happened to standing for something.One has to stand for something or they'll fall for anything.

In the movie the American President, Sheen plays the Chief-of-Staff/best friend of the President Michael Douglas. Their relationship is much like this one, a fraternal friendship, and in that film, Sheen's character has a similar argument with Douglas, saying that he's too smart and good a man to be playing it politically safe every single challenge they face. Basically, show the moxie I know you have, pal! Sorkin was screenwriter for that film, wouldn't you know?

Chief of Staff, I imagine Polonius in Hamlet basically being like a Chief of Staff to Claudius, and his former boss King Hamlet Sr. Not just the Head butler or steward, he is the gateway to the throne. And Bartlet's trust in Leo is quite strong, in particular. All White House staff, including the West Wing staff, defers to him/her. Considering how many people there are working in the White House, yeah that's a pretty big job.

The Chief of Staff is exactly what it sounds like: the man (or woman) in charge of the staff. It's his responsibility to organize the staff to carry out the president's agenda.

I envy you having this show on DVD. I just got laid off AGAIN!! This was after a 6 mo layoff and we got called back for about 4 weeks of work. I work from contract to contract. Straight pay, not too bad, absolutely no benefits. I was hoping to be at work for a significant perod of time that I could justify the luxury of buying the WW. But your right, Sarakatheryn has done a wonderful thing here.
