Powered Parachute Michael's solo flight 11/23/03
I bought a powered parachute, DFS2001 PPC, and took lessons from a Basic Flight Instuctor (BFI) in Delaware. I soloed in Georgia at Pickens County Airport in Jasper (North West Georgia). My flight was for 12 min.s at 200 feet above ground level. The Airport is 1480 feet above sea level. Dan H. and Jimey F. helped me. Also they flew their powered parachutes. They are in the video in the photos. This video also has still pictures and music. The video is a little grainy due to it was taken with a digital camera switched to the movie setting. The photos are sharper. The Flying Egg is made out of fiberglass, kevlar, epoxy resin and aircraft metal tubing. The engine is a Hirth F33, 30HP. The wing is a Magnum manufactured in France. Foot throttle and toggle steering with your hands. The kit comes almost assembled purchased at Airsports USA in Astoria/Queens NY.Michael H. "G" rated
