oh yeah. The point of my previous post is that in this video Townsend mimics that sliding his guitar neck up the mic stand like the previous group I was talking about. The groups were so quick to adapt to new sounds and developments back in the day...

If this was April 23, 1968, I was at the show. There was a band before them who played a cover of "A Day in the Life" by the Beatles. The lead guitarist ran the neck of his guitar up the mic stand while holding a chord around the stand, prodcucing a sound exactly like the creshendo of the song. It was an amazing night for a 13 year old! ^^What a great era of music in Britain; '66-'68!
