My 98 Ford Escort which is just a regular gas 2.0L Inline 4 gets 42 mpg on the highway. Better than my moms hybrid Camry and only 3 mpg behind the hybrid Prius. Only paid $700 for it too :)

Oh,by the way, my electric comes to my house from a nuclear plant. So no fossil fuels need be used. Fossil fuels are going the way of the typewriter and telephone booth.

Actually a hybrid is like a halfway house for oil addicts. An electric car has much better performance.

Gosh stop talking bullshit! Prius is a mile stone! A good step in the right direction... Hybrid cars will get better and better and we will eventually get rid of the primitive fosil fuel.Only the oil companies hate green cars!The oil compoanies will never let their power go unless we take it away from them!And guess what! WE WILL!Imagine you are in a bumper to bumper trafic... your prius is running on batery as you watch the other suckers burning their money! Hmmm! PRICELESS!
