The firmware is upgradable to the final draft.

you have to remember all wireless n products are still draft. Meaning their based on unfinished specs. this router is still awesome though, I heard many great things about.I would wait until draft is gone, the official N version will give you 600mbps.

FYI,2.Also the range is based on the antenna gain and not whether the router has 3 antennas or 1, meaning 1 antenna with higher gain can give you better coverage than 3 antennas with a lesser gain.

FYI,1.11n is based on the concept of MIMO = multiple i/p multiple o/p.Basically the 3 antennas are used to capture same pkt, meaning the pkt is divided and received by all 3 antennas, thus it takes only 1/3rd the time to receive the whole pkt than using 1 antenna. As a result the speed in increased thrice.

Wow it does 802.11n? That's amazing since THE STANDARD ISN'T FINALISED YET! As if the wireless industry isn't full of lies and misinformation enough. This is DRAFT 802.11n - there IS a large and significant difference. |
