We met as deafos at the asylum, we left as arseholes from the asylum. And we were strong. But never right. Our heads were big but our tactics were shite..We came in spastic, like fuckin mentals, we trained so drastic, there were prehensiles. There were a few, weren't that light..They pulled the rest of us into the shite. We had a whorehouse, we called it hometown, we passed the lice and the big disease round, we didn't care, apart from lice.. We lifted legs and crawled without ant might.

This was the music video that the record company paid for as a promotion for the song. It was produced by my father Barry Ralbag of Baruch Productions and Arnold Levine as creative director, for CBS records.

(I'll try this again. Didn't post first time...)This is the best video accompaniment to a great anti-war BillyJoel song that I have seen. That the sound is blocked is a shame.Joel would probably give his OK to this one.Fuck the censorship. The video is excellent. The soundtrack should be put back.

no he didn't fight in the war. Actually some veterans asked him to write a song about Vietnam and he said 'I can't I wasn't in the war' So they told him everything about the war. And he said he would and kept his promise.

He describes in this song very good how the situation was back then in Vietnam. It really was a hell then. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did Billy Joel fight in that war too? If so, then it's noble of him to write this song... many vets don't wanna think or talk about that war anymore.. and I don't blame them.Anyway, I love this song!

The best song ever written, I think. This song is amazing. Everytime I hear it, I want to join the millitary even more. It's not exactly anti-war, it's not pro-war. It's the third option, solders war. I think if we didn't fight this war, we would be comunists. Not saying that that's the worst thing, but I would rather live in America. Great video! Totaly amazing! Thank you...-Live, Love, Be, Believe-Chris(topher) |
