It is now buried in the mists of time, but back in the 40's -- during Roosevelt's term of office, Orson was engaged to write, I believe, a daily political column. As for his size, it doesn't seem that many-years ago, I was turning a narrow corridor in the Beverly Wishire Hotel, and coming toward me, suddenly, there was Orson, supported by not one but two canes to support him. I really had to stand out of the way, it looked like the Queen Mary docking! As wide as tall, but what a giant! R.J.

china town is good but it's not citizen cane. also, i can think of of number of films i'd put over chinatown (Vertigo, Searchers, etc.) but Cane is a tough one to top.

This is a much better interview than the one on The Dick Cavett Show..where it ended up Mr Welles interviewing Dick Cavett instead of visa versa
