1. it's sulfur hydrogen2. it can kill you if you breath it to much3. there is no way to harnes it, as the location of the central fire is unkown, and no one really wants to risk their lives to find a fire that has documented failures of people taming it.

00.7% fuckwad, it's coal, it started by an honest mistake, the works were told to burn the trash in an old strip-mine pit, and burn it, as they did, tyhe flames hit an open coal shaft, and it hit an air pocket, so, yes, but you cannot blame the trash cleanup workers, they were just following orders, no one knew that it would lead to mass-devastation that it is, its going to reach ashland by 2010, the fires will burn out by 2257, it sounds like science fiction, but its the truth.
