I own an 03' Monaro/GTO, and its not the fastest, nor does it brake the best, but just look at the lines of the thing... gives me a big GM woody!!

and add 200lb's and loose all that extra power, and barley be compensated by torque?riiiiiiiight, you fucken yanks all think the same way... bigger is better? wrong! for a couple of thousand i could build straight six thats a 40yr old motor that would beat it with out of the box parts... the trick? the fact its 5 times lighter and just as much power....

say what? Australia built these things years before they hit the international market buddy.... they were makin em in 2001.......

They make the car seem boring when it's not. I also don't like the front end of the car I prefer the Holden version.

And also, gas is now averaging about $4.00 a gallon...I didn't really say it was all good that the muscle cars were back...I still want a GTO though.

Say what you want about it being Aussie (GM never tried to hide that) but it did one thing that the Monaro couldn't.After GM announced the GTO was coming back, Ford re-styled the Mustang, Dodge brought back the Hemi (at least in their cars, I think they put it in the Rams before or shortly after the GTO was announced)and the Charger, and a few others came back (the Mercury Marauder, the new style of the Camaro, ect.)Once again, the GTO started the muscle car craze.

the pontiac version has been all tarted up with fake air intakes, and a different grille. i spose its probably more popular in america that way but i still prefer the more minimalist holden body. |
