Well, there are many places were that info could be found... try researching in amnesty international or human rights organizations such as Human Rights Watch, or IDMC. Also, There is a news online network call "The Real News", and they have investigated several violations and crimes the Colombian government has perpetuated. Remember, Colombia is a US Ally, therefore the media is on the side of the government, so do not believe everything you heard out there... thanks for your interest!

What I don't like about that interview is that most of his answers beat around the bush.EL PUNTO ES QUE DEJEN DE CRITICAR TANTO A LA GENTE... ESO NO ES BUENO.. MAS BIEN PONGANSE A ESCUCHAR JORGE DUQUE LINARES Y VERAN QUE LES CAMBIA LA VIDA PARA BIEN.OJALA EL SI FUERA PRESIDENTE.. EL PAIS SERIA OTRO.... DEJEN DE PEGARSE DE TANTA BOBADAS Y PARARLE CUIDADO A LO QUE NO VALE LA PENA....LO IMPORTANTE ES QUE SE ARREGLE EL PAIS NO COMO HABLA INGLES EL PRESIDENTE.

In all honesty, I'm not an expert in statistics; but do have a connection to many people from various areas, and the majority tend to share a positive sentiment in regards to Mr. Uribe and his time in the presidency. I for one , do not like to rely solely on the media; and respect those that live directly on ground zero even more so for their feedback. Outside of your personal experience, where would you recommend I seek further information in relation to the facts you stated?

PERO NO TIENEN NI IDEA QUE ES LLEGAR A OTRO PAIS Y APRENDER UNA LENGUA QUE NO ES LA DE UNO... ESO TOMA TIEMPO Y NO LO HACE CUALQUIRA, it gets more difficult the older you get... Puede que el Ingles de Uribe no sea tan bueno despues de haber estudiado en USA,but you know what: studying abroad does NOT mean that you will become fluent... pero saben que realmente lo admiro porque el Ingles que el tiene que hablar en esas entrevistas no es basico y ademas es admirable que se defienda. Muchos les daria pena hablar, pero el tiene el corage de expresarse en una lengua que no es la nativa de el.

COLOMBIA ES HERMOSA!!! y este NARCOPARAMILITAR NO VA A DURAR SIEMPRE!! ya lo dijo NEWTON todo lo que sube tiene que CAER!!! 3.3 millones de desplazados(1 en el mundo onu) peor educacion en latinoamerica, pobreza en casi 60% salud combertida en negocio, desempleo alarmante, colombia tiene mas muertos por la guerra que en irak(fiscalia) ni hablar de la politica presos senadores coalicion del gobierno por paracos compro voto para la reeleccion, primo preso por paraco, hermano narco sigo???.....

People like you are causing in my country a false impression of the real situation, and has no idea about what is really going on down there... I am wondering how many attacks by paramilitaries and government forces have you seen to make such a uninformative asseveration. I gotta repeat: The FARC are not the only cause of the war in Colombia, they are just a symptom of the terrible disease my country suffers: Lack of an efficient and social government.

Are you telling me Colombia has had a "tremendous change" since Uribe took the presidency?? It's clear that you are one more person who is clearly manipulated by the media, taking into account the massacres perpetuated by paramilitaries groups in alliance with the colombian military directed by uribe, 20% of increase in cocaine growth among the country, and the unemployment and increasing violence rates in colombia. I am actually out of colombia because his terroristic and fascist regime... |
