You fail to see the vulnerability of the US defense systems. A properly modified nuke could pass right over the north pole, go through Canada and hit the northrn states. The early warning systems in most of the arctic are Canadian bases. So what if we decided to just disconnect CFBs Alert and Resolute and go out to Tim Hortons.PS: Where do you think the uranium for the US nukes comes from?The US? WRONG! The US relies on Canadian uranium (we're the number one producer in the world, btw)
