These are the old Starlet Cup cars. 1.3 Liter, 4K upright pushrod engines. dual 45mm side draft carbs, hot cam, dry sump, they make about 160hp at about 9,000 rpm. They can spin higher but no power up there. They use a close ratio TRD starlet syncro trans. No dog box.

Hi Panoulis20, i understand but if you want to make more power from a k series n/a engine, it will be very expensive (5k or 3kr only for toyota scuderia),so you can buy a turbo (ct9 or ct20)..it is more cheap !with little boost you can get much power(like 120 -180 hp)mikuni50

yea but what if i dont wanna spend so much money on buying the engines?(cause they cost like 3k euro in my country because they are rare to find)..could i get a 1.5L engine or something cheaper?i dont care about having 180hp..i could be ok will like 120-140.ynx for reading this.

well , you can buy a 4age 20v black top (165 free hp and 17kg torque )..or ..buy a 3sge 3gen (180 hp and 21kg torque)you choice !!

never looked into toyota engines really but i was thinking about buying a rwd starlet..most of them have the 1.0 or 1.3 L engine..there are some swaps..but since the 4age engine is expensive which engine would you recommnend?some guys swap the lite-ace engine..cant find any specs..whats the output of that engine?
