I agree with you 110%. Not many people can sing "oh darling", or "maybe I'm amazed" or "golden slumbers" like Paul has over the years. I would also add that VERY FEW SINGERS( if any) can sing "HELTER SKELTER" like Paul did in his "PRIME"! He definately is one of the best rock singers ever. I saw him in concert 4 different times a few years ago and he sounded great! Everyone I went with said it was the best concert they ever went to. I hate to see him get older, He still is my all-time favorite.

I have made a statement. You can agree or disagree, but whatever you say will not change the fact that Paul's voice is diminishing... and that was my point. Listen to Paul's recent ' A Day In A Life 'He sounds drunk and he forgot the lyrics.

DoctorChips (2 weeks ago)"This is a great song that he has not sung for many years. Maybe next, Little Lamb Dragonfly or 1984. The great Paul has lost it. He cannot sing any longer. Very depressing to hear the great Paul miss notes and sound nearly drunk. "Those are a couple of great song "requests" indeed, but where do hear these "lost drunken vocals" ?!I'm truly baffled as to what perceptions who must've listened with . . or thru.

@magico: Paul never had a graet voice????Paul is a studio musician!???Check out the albums "Wings over America" and "tripping the life fantastic" to see his quality as a life-performer!And considering his voice, just check out the songs "Oh darling" and "golden slumbers" on abbey road and "monkberry moon delight" on ram!!!!I think he is one of the greatest singers in popular-music, that ever lived!

Well, Paul never had a great voice, just regular. He is a studio musician. I think he is the greates songwriter in pop music, though.

I don't think that he's lost it, but he is older and this is a live performance without the editing that's done to the albums. I think he's still one of the best musicians. You should check out George Harrison's son's band. It's called Thenewno2. |
