the main plot dealt with Steve being given the job of guarding a federal witness, who was actually a guy that had been double-crossed.the real guy had stolen a couple million from the mob,and was trying to cover his tracks, when Steve's character figures it out.he gets in dutch with the politician guy(Vaughan)and in the end catches up with the Ross character at the airport(trying to leave the country).

Thats so cool about that guy Hickman. I just thought he was a character actor in the film. Hats off to him too.

Always wondered what that left in the film gaff was - finally get to see it here ... the Charger took out one of the stationary cameras as Hickman was out along the edge of control.

A great book on McQueen is his first wife's book MY HUSBAND,MY FRIEND. I know, its a chicks point of view but nobody knew him better. And as for the plot in Bullitt, who knows what the plot is. Its just a great time capsule of San Francisco and 1968 and, frankly, the realism plays a major part in the eminent watchability of this film. |
