I'm a Music Teacher and my students love the fact that I do not use any technology other than musical instruments and twelve-stave paper. The kids aren't as impressed with all of the technology nearly as much as the adults are. I believe that not immersing them in lap tops and cell phones, makes for an agreeable break from their high tech, humanly disconnected worlds.

The composer of that piece didn't even have to use a cell phone to learn how to play a Piano. Isn't that amazing?

Don't expect the public schools to educate you. You must educate yourself. No one is here to "help" you. Play the game at school then learn at home or the library or the internet. Take your power back.

So true! It's sad to see schools and teachers not making use of new possibilities. But what is even more frustrating, is that most universities don't even consider making use of them!

half of my friends are listening to music during class or any time during school, on Thursday my friend Pablo unplugged the teacher's computer to plug in his ipod nano so he could listen to his music, the teacher got so angry at him and told the dean. 30 minutes later Pablo got arrested, three days after that is dad was deported back to El Salvador, weird huh?

WOW. This video is one of the best I have seen in getting this message across and best of all the wave has started to form. Some people put up barriers. Forget that. We just need to THINK and get creative.

I like the power of this video and the thoughts it promotes. Unfortunately, those who most need to see it (and pay attention) won't. But I think those of us who do "get it" will be able to lead in spite of those who don't. This video does a good job of demonstrating how a delivery method can make all the difference.D. |
