dang man, ive been workin full time this summer just so i can buy me about a 2000 chevy 1500 z71 (95 c2500 atm with original 40 series flowmasters) and ive gotta say, those super 44s have a much better tone than the 40s, ill definately be putting 44s on my new truck now. Thanks for such a great vid

Damn dude that sounds bad ass at high RPMs

I dont want to have any more interior drone than it already gives, plus I like side exit tips on trucks. I understand that too. The purpose of this exhaust was not for performance, it was for an incrediable sound, and I believe I succeeded. If I wanted performance I would not have chosen Flowmaster, and I would have had the 3" pipes replaced with 2.5", and I would have done more performance modifications such as tune, CAI, better spark plugs, injectors.. etc.

why not dump it? sounds much better than dual tips, and a true dual won't show actual horsepower gains on the speedo. get bolt-ons until you get a turbo substantial upgrade. chicken tenders.

oh i agree with having some kind of connection due to the uneven back pressure, more on new trucks than old ones. i never recommend not having an X or H-pipe installed.
DarrenWS6 (May 10, 2008 at 4:42 pm)
thanks. When it comes to trucks, they need a X pipe or H, cause the left manifold exhaust is guided to the right, then back to the left before axle, so its quieter and unbalances the pressure. I went H cause I hate the X pipe rasp and how it quiets a system down. H pipe keeps the heavy tone of the Hi-Flow cats and mufflers, and does the job of balancing the system out.
For those considering buying a new vehicle, don't forget to check out the new 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser. Great for adventures off road, just for cruising around town, or running to the store.

The new 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser seats five and comes in two-tone with a Voodoo Blue, Titanium Metallic, Black Diamond, Sun Fusion, Sandstorm or Brick body color and White top. The interior fabric color is Dark Charcoal, while the dash, center instrument panel trim and the door inserts match the body.
