It dosent react cause The souchscreen is like a touchpad. It only reacts to Fingers Just like a laptop touchpad. It wont work with pentips, keys and the like.

I've dropped my 3rd generation iPod on my solid concrete floor numerous times, dropped it outside, and even in the bathtub! and it's still in excellent condition!!!!!!!!
