When someone is living in sin and wants to also live for the Lord, they try to justify their actions. They look at the Word, and want to believe what they are doing is not a sin. We know that fornication (sex out of marriage) is a sin (1st Corinth. 6:18-20) and sexual activity is only permitted in marriage (1st Corinth 7:2-6). And of course, only man and woman can marry, not man and man or woman and woman (Ephesians 5:22-33) which would completely rule out any type of homosexual behavior.

Just to clear things up.. "So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved."-Acts 2:46-47. Church is very important, true that fellowship in the home is awesome, but there's also mention of meeting at a temple. We can't forget about Jesus writing to 7 churches in Rev. 2 also.
