I agree the military should be used to deal with gangs. Though I am not from the USA, our military is deployed in East Timor to deal with youth gangs over there when in there own country youth gangs are wild. Why deploy our military to a foreign nation when we need to solve our own country's problem first.

I think, sometimes, you can learn from even the worst of people. Sometimes you need to abandon the ideal, Jeffersonian system and temporarily adopt the cold, Stalinist system. Find out who are the gang members, the parasites that need to be quarantined and eliminated, then bar them from government programs, work, and warn all potential employers of their behavior. Gangsters are really just a social tumor in America- cutting it off won't help, we have to get chemotherapy for the country going.
