I agree, I think it's because Yanks focus on looks rather then acting skills. The English have real actors no matter what they look like.

Why is the British TV so much better than US TV?That was kind of rhetorical. It's better because it's state run and so doesn't have to run 24/7 coverage of Paris Hilton and Heath Ledger to bring in ad revenue from the retarded masses. For an example of how state control of key enterprises improves quality, imagine if primary education relied upon ad revenue to select content. Well, at least it's produced in English so I can watch something awesome like this on youtube!
