Late reply and rather boring, but...That price was for the complete dedicated word processing machine and the printer - the spell checker was a new thing and part of the included software. Mind you, 500 quid was a hell of lot in those days but a PC cost around £1,000 - no printer and you had to buy word processing software. I used WordStar before WordPerfect started dominating the market. Now I really feel old.

The voice over at the ends sounds like it's by the late Simon Cadell (Jeffrey Fairbrother from "Hi-de-hi"), I wonder if it is him?!!
