Available at Amazon, Ebay & burrohas3wheels.com"Alaska to Labrador Highway" provides viewers a preview to a journey of driving from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska on the Artic Ocean through Yukon Territory, British Columbia, Alberta, Montana, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ontario, New York, Quebec and Newfoundland Labrador to Happy Valley Goose Bay, as far east on the North American continent as one can drive. This is the 6th DVD in my multi episode "Burro Has Three Wheels" DVD series riding the roads of North, Central and South America, "Alaska to Labrador Highway" details a motorcycle road trip as far east in the Northern portion of the American Continent as one can drive. I left Portland, Oregon in June of 2007 and ended up in Prudhoe Bay Deadhorse, Alaska thus completing my top to the bottom motorcycle tour of the world...But I wasn't ready to head home yet, I was just getting into the groove...so I headed to Happy Valley Goose Bay, Newfoundland Labrador. I'll be avoiding the Interstate Highways as much as possible by riding the secondary roads. My ride...a 2005 Troyka, built by Ural motorcycles a copy of a BMW plus it has a sidecar.

Um, sorry, binomio: Amerigo Vespucci was ITALIAN - you know, like Cristoforo Columbo. I'm not 100% sure, but I think Amerigo's original depictions (elementary "maps") only referred to NORTH America as "America". Call us arrogant, but we are the ONLY country to use the word "America" in our name, so in that regard, WE OWN IT - get over it!

I drove the trans lab twice last sept in a 93 nissan 1/4 tonne it was an adventure and half. Its remote for sure and it goes with out saying that the road sucks worse than you can imagine especially between Wabush and Churchill falls. Watch out for the road graters they have a nasty habit of travelling on the wrong side of the road, nearly had a head on with one. Don't try to drive the speed limit it will chew up your tires, bring full size spares on rims at least two and take your time.

That is a great story. I enjoy hearing about others rides and your dad's journey sounds great.A lot of people I ran into said "the road this year is the worst its been since it was constructed, due to the rain". Thanks for the post,Gary

Just thought I'd let you know, my dad and his friend were the first people to ever drive a motorcycle from Goose Bay to Churchill Falls Labrador - round trip - when the road was no more then a goat trail under construction. They pretty much had to carry their bikes around various sections to make the trip. It took them about a week to complete the trip.

A check of the internet indicates that North and South America are seperate continents. This is due to the wetlands of the Darien Gap seperating Panama and Colombia. Mexico is part of North America by the way.Personally I contend that all of the peoples in the Americas are American, todos la gente Americanos.Helping to create a better world requires dialouges that are not inflamitory in nature.Lets make a better world.Gary

North America are not a continent, it is a part of the continent of America, as the Northern Europe are a part of the continent of Europe; The arrogant Yankess take possession of the word "AMERICA", when this word was used initially by the Spaniards, 100 years before the arrival of the Englishmen to North America; AMERICA is a Continent, from Alaska to Argentina, although the Yankees will never recognize it.
